Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts, but I do get a kick out of writing for the fandom. The premise of this story was more or less based on/ripped from zombie movies, books, and video games – all of which I love a great deal. Movies: “Night of the Living Dead,” “28 Days Later,” “Shaun of the Dead,” “Zombieland,” and “I Am Legend.” Books: The Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z. Games: Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5. Also, a friend of mine created what became known as The Game of Death – the antithesis to the Game of Life, wherein one must survive the zombie apocalypse with characters ripped from Devil May Cry, Supernatural, and other shows. I don’t particularly like Valentine’s Day, and spent this year watching zombie movies instead. Axel doesn’t feel the same way.

Summary: The zombie apocalypse is at hand. Ten years into the plague Axel tries to reestablish Valentine’s Day with his lover, who may just be the least romantic person in the world aside from a zombie.

A/N: This was born out of a class I am currently taking, about Berlin in the mid-twentieth century. What started as a potential kink prompt for ‘1920s Berlin: cabarets and gay clubs’ became this monster. Basically, it kicked me in the face obnoxiously until I wrote it. The title roughly translates to “the world shatters” – German has never been my strong suit, but I think it’s close enough.
Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts, but I do get a kick out of writing for the fandom. The song mentioned here is called “Streets of Berlin;” it was sung by Mick Jagger in the movie Bent – which comes highly recommended. While early 20^th century Germany does provide most of the backdrop for this story, it is not a wholly accurate representation of events; neither is it meant to downplay the horrors and trauma experienced by victims and survivors of the era. It is my field of study, and I have the utmost respect for their stories.

Summary: For Roxas, a regular of the gay clubs and bars of 1920s Berlin, the loose morals of the city are a welcome diversion from hard times - especially in the company of Axel, a wide-grinning jazz saxophonist just a few morals short of a hooker. But with the reign of Hitler and the Nazi party on the horizon, they are about to find their world turned upside down and shattering all around them.

Fic: Natural Progression

A/N: I’m playing KHII for what might just be the 20^th time and this just popped into my head. I missed writing Sora and Riku. Also, I ship them. Really hard. But look, no slash here! Well, unless you want to see it that way. Takes place during KHII in the World That Never Was, after Riku joins the party. Now part of a drabble series ~ Natural Progression.
